Pink, Mint and Gold Nursery

Description

When I was a child and transitioning into a new room, my aunt came to visit and help decorate. She told me that I could pick any colors that I wanted and though that seemed like an endless possibility to a 3 year old, I immediately knew what I wanted. I vividly remember looking in my Crayola box at color choices. I suppose that yellow box stood in place of my Sherwin Williams paint deck back in the day! I pulled out 2 crayons that were missing the points because they were used so often, pink and mint green. I made my request to my aunt, who was probably thrilled since I didn't pick anything too difficult to work with, and she immediately went to work. The room was filled with vintage pieces found at antique stores. An old rusty iron bed that was painted light pink, a milk glass lamp, pink and green chenille linens, and my Nannie (grandmother) crocheted the most beautiful pink and mint coverlet. It was the most beautiful room I had ever seen and I always said that if I ever had a daughter, her room would also be pink and mint. I wanted the room to be feminine and classic and able to transition into her childhood. I knew I wanted floral drapes and couldn't find any that fit. I came across the fabric Riley Blake Chatsworth Main which is actually a quilting fabric and sewed them lined with blackout lining for extra weight. The Jenny Lind bed was mine as a baby and I painted it gold to update it a bit. The bedding is a mixture of Pottery Barn Kids, Target and a custom made dust ruffle. The dresser was an awesome goodwill find that I painted with chalk paint and I also painted the artwork.

This is so sweet! I'm planning a ceiling and vanity mint paint makeover and came across this room. Did anyone ever figure out the color used? I would be very grateful! Thank you!
