We knew we wanted a pink nursery for our daughter, but we didn't want the pink to be overwhelming. We loved the grey and white and pink combination. We used stars as our inspiration. Her dad hand-painted all the stars around the quote over her crib. Since we have a small house we needed to maximize storage space by keeping it organized and using space wisely. We wanted this room to be calming and comfortable, with a little bit of wonder and twinkle.
Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
I don't think we have any particular decorating style- we use what we like and stuck to a budget!
The quote on the wall was hand-painted by my husband's sister and purchased from Etsy.. The stars were hand-painted and designed by my husband. The beautiful mobile was customized and ordered from Etsy.
We plan on making a name decoration (either pennants or wooden letters) for over the changing table, but did not give our daughter a name until she was born- so that project had to wait!
The shimmery curtains, tulle crib skirt, and perfectly matching starry sheets are from Pottery Barn Kids.
The crib and changer/dresser combo were on clearance at Babies R Us and the super-comfortable glider is from Buy Buy Baby.
The mobile captures the whimsical and shimmery feel perfectly.
I wanted everything to coordinate and I spent many weeks searching high and low to find all the pieces that worked while sticking to our budget. My advice is to pick what colors you want first, and go from there!

I really like the colors you used. What color of pink and gray did you use?
