Lexi's nursery is a colorful take on the popular pink and aqua color combination for baby bedding and nursery design. She wanted a bright and funky nursery that could grow with Lexi, with personalized touches, and plenty of room for play!

Design Inspiration

Lexi's nursery is designed around one of Caden Lane's most popular bedding sets - the Londyn from the Boutique Collection. The bedding was used to set the color palette for the rest of the room - adding touches of rose print, dots, and just a touch of the oh-so-popular chevron. Instead of focusing on the sweeter colors, we took the bubblegum pink and kelly green - and accented them with the sweet shade of blue on the walls.

Decorating Style

I really can't pick my favorite part of this nursery. I love the take on the popular white tree - the scrapbook paper leaves (in a variety of colors, prints, and GLITTER) and pink leopard daisies compliment the perfect funky feel to the nursery. And that furniture - OH THAT FURNITURE. You just can't recreate that look with a simple white dresser.

Project Details

The project was so much fun to put together! Here's some tips on how to recreate the look in YOUR nursery!

Crib: Not sure of the manufacturer, but it was passed down to Lexi from her big brother, and the mom had it refinished in an antique white color.

Tree: the tree was hand painted by a local artist, the leaves were hand-cut out of scrapbook paper, and the flowers can be purchased at Caden Lane. (DIY post on how to re-create this in your own nursery coming soon!)

Favorite Items

Well... our favorite item is probably the Londyn baby bedding from Caden Lane (I guess we are biased, LOL) - but that HUGE monogram over the crib, and that OH-SO-FABULOUS furniture really does pull it all together! We LOVE everything!

Love your room, it is so adorable!! One comment, are you aware your drop rail crib is no longer considered safe?
