Description
We designed custom invites, stationery for thank yous, hang tags, pick sticks and a pattern Gumdrop Cookie Shop printed for us. There was a “hand wash station” with monogrammed Luke towels with the peacocks and a sign that read “He’s as cute as he can be. Please wash your hands so he stays germ free.” Guests enjoyed the “peacocktail” which was champagne with a splash of Blue Curacao and tea sandwiches by Christafaro’s Catering. Peacock feathers were added to the centerpieces to keep the theme throughout the table settings. The dessert table, incorporating the light blue and teal color palette, featured cupcakes with peacock-patterned picks and cheesecake pops compliments of Southern Belle’s Cakery, M&M’s in apothecaries, a large branchy centerpiece with peacock feathers, a framed photo of baby Luke by Lena Hyde Photography and a Baby Luke banner by Party Starters.
Design Inspiration
We adapted a nursery theme into the Sip and See decor.
Decorating Style
When creating a party for a client, I love incorporating their style and personality. In this case, it was a choice for the nursery decor so we knew the new mom would love it.
Project Details
We used teal as the main color palette which is a standard rental table linen and napkin and accented with white, baby blue and yellow. My designer created a pattern that could be incorporated into cupcake picks, cookie hang tags, peacocktails sign for the signature drink. There are many shops on etsy that now allow you to buy the cupcake toppers and matching event pieces. You can buy the peacock feathers from a craft store and insert them in the arrangements or attach them to the base of glass vases.
