Description
I wanted to create a serene and feminine nursery for our little girl using lilac, white, and gray. There are elements of old and new along with homemade art and finishes.
Design Inspiration
I knew I wanted to use lilac and when I saw the fabric at Serena and Lily, I decided to go vintage/romantic. We borrowed many ideas from Project Nursery and Restoration Hardware.
Decorating Style
Eclectic- I love pretty things!
Project Details
*monogram over crib and crib bumpers were added later
Bedding- Serena and Lily Delphine fabric. My mother and I made the crib bumpers and bought coordinating Florentine crib sheets. We also had a window cornice and pillow made from the Delphine fabric.
Crib- Stanley Young America Grow with Me- not perfect, but it was a deal at a local furniture store going out of business.
Dresser- antique
chaise- reupholstered an old green one we got when we first got married with a silvery chenille fabric.
mirrors- used old and new mirrors (or picture frames) from different stores and painted them silver.
Artwork- My mom painted the monogram and the peacocks.
Chandelier- gift- homemade silk cord cover.
Favorite Items
The dresser and window treatment...perfectly girly!

12andcounting,
Thanks! My mom painted those pictures- yes, they are peacocks.

I like the soft and subtle colors. I also like that frame with plant pots (what's it called?) and I am curious about those two artworks on the other side of the window. Do you have a closer shot? Are those peacocks?

I'm not sure- but it's pretty close to Sherwin Williams Accessible Beige.

White, gray and lilac look so gorgeous together. The nursery is about simple elegance, or perhaps elegant simplicity.
