I decided to do a carousel themed because my daughter Adri loves riding on the carousel and gets so excited and lights up when she is on the carousel. It brings her so much joy so I decided why not do a theme about something really she really loves. Instead of doing the traditional bright colored carousel, I went with a pastel color palette and wanted to make this a much softer color scheme. For some reason I wanted to incorporate buttons and had this idea about having Kori from Paper and Pigtails design me a carousel horse made out of buttons to look like a horse and did she ever design something so beautiful and stunning! I was in love with what she design and that set the tone for the theme. I had lots of amazing help to pull this theme together. I had Paper Candee design the adorable paper carousels that you see on the favor table that serve as a beautiful decor but also as party favors, I had the beautiful table runners that mimic the carousel awning but Sweet Tea and Linen. I then decided to make the table look like a carnival in some aspects but wanted to tone it down a bit, I lots of amazing sweet treats by Bee's Knees Creative who made the beautiful cookies as well as the sweet button cake pops, macaroons by Crazy about Macaroons, Rock Candy donuts, especially made for our event, and I had beautiful button bottle toppers from Edible Details, as well the as the balloon pops and little girl topper. Sugar High made the amazing and stunning horse topper and the beautiful and sweet bow toppers and carousel horse toppers. The Beautiful backdrop was my favorite decor of this party! I had contacted Vana from Le Papier Studio awhile back and asked her to turn two pictures of my girls on a carousel horse into a silhouette, I wasn't sure what I was going to do with it but just in case I wanted to have their silhouettes done. Then I asked the amazing Paula from Frog Prince Paperie to design me a carousel to use as a back drop for the desert table and I then had the wonderful idea of using the beautiful carousel Paula made me and try to put both of my daughters silhouettes inside the carousel and that's exactly how this backdrop wound up to be! I also had some amazing help from Jessica from Let's Get This Party Started who created the beautiful and sweet tulle backdrop for our favor party table. That table was to be fun and carnival-like in some ways with a softer side to is, Jessica really made that table stand out and be super cute! Jessica also made the cute carousel horse coloring pages you see in some of the pictures. The sweet sign was created by Elizabeth from Moulage Collection that showcased some of Adri's favorite things as she turned two! :) The cute ruffled wraps on the milk bottle and ice cream cups where created by Jenny from Crossing the Bugger Dixon Line and added so much to them! She custom made this color scheme to match our color and she did a beautiful job! The banner and cotton candy glassine bags where created by the talented The Purple Pug. The party supplies came from Tomkat Studio and Shop Sweet Lulu Overall, this party turned out to be a very sweet theme and one of my favorite designs I have done! I loved all the little touches that went into this theme but what I really love the most was the beautiful color scheme and the carousel horse design that Kori did, that really set the tone for this party and really made it shine all the way through! It was one of the funnest designs I have done and I will treasure this theme because it turned out even better than I had imagined! The beautiful photos were taken by the amazing Renee from Renee Nicole Design + Photogrphy, aka known as Bee's Knees Creative :) It was a wonderful and special day after all! :) ***Vendor Credits*** Event Design and Styling: Fanciful Events, http://www.facebook.com/fancifulevents Invitation and Printables, Paper & PIgatils, http://paperandpigtailsparty.com/ Paper Carousel Favor Boxes, {Maita from Paper Candee}, http://papercandee.etsy.com/ Button Toppers, Balloon Pops and Little girl topper, Edible Details, www.edibledetails.com Carousel themed toppers and Carousel button horse toppers, Sugar High, Inc, www.etsy.com/shop/SugarHighInc Ruffled Crepe, Crossing The Bugger Dixon-Line, http://bugger-dixonline.blogspot.com/ Table Runners, Sweet Tea and Linen, http://www.sweetteaandlinen.etsy.com Chalkboard Sign, Moulage Collection, www.moulagecollection.com Cookies and Cake Pops, Bee's Knees Creative, www.beeskneescreative.com Tulle backdrop and favor Table Design, Jessica from Let's Get This Party Started, http://www.facebook.com/Letsgetthispartystarted.events Macaroons, Rosie from Crazy about Macaroons, http://crazyaboutmacarons.com Carousel Design fro Backdrop, Paula from Frog Prince Paperie, http://www.frogprincepaperie.com Silhouettes Design, Vana from Le Papier Studio, http://www.lepapierstudio.com Banner and Cotton candy glassine bags, The Purple Pug, www.thepurplepug.com Polka Dot Candy Cups and Ice Cream Cups from Tomkat Studio, http://shoptomkat.com/ Straws and wooden scoops from, Shop Sweet Lulu, www.shopsweetlulu.com Photography by Renee Nicole Design + Photography, http://www.reneenicoledesign.com/

Advice

Just have fun doing a party! It really let's you get creative! I LOVE doing parties and seeing how creative you can be. If you were to do try to do this party, the one thing I would suggest is taking your kids to a carousel taking their picture on it and then turning that image into a silhouette. From there you can decide how big you would like that image to be a part of your party decor. This theme is also very similar to a carnival theme, so just have fun with it!

Is the backdrop a printed poster or was it made into a wall vinyl (or other)?
