I choose this project because my family had just recently moved from Florida to Georgia.  I wanted to make my twin two year old girls feel comfortable in their new home and especially their new bedroom.  I wanted to give the girls room an update from their nursery back in Florida to a big girl room in our new home.
My inspiration for the room was this beautiful wildflower wallpaper. I wanted something fresh, bright and feminine for the girls room.  I wanted a design that was tranquil for them, making their transition from the only bedroom they had known to their new room.
My advice would be to take your time and plan out all aspects of your toddlers room.  You want the bedroom to be something that your kids enjoy as well as being a practical space. Lastly have fun with it.  It’s a time to collaborate with your children and come up with a beautiful design that makes both you and children happy.

A modern and minimalist twist on an under the sea nursery!

After finding out we were pregnant (surprise), we were surprised again to find out it was twins!  When we found out we were having twin boys (after already having three girls), we were thrilled to be able to design a boy nursery for the first time.  I love neutral but couldn’t miss this opportunity to incorporate some blues and more masculine wood tones and metals.  My husband loves mid-century modern, so it was a no-brainer for us to use that style as inspiration for the boys.

I designed this modern, soft boho nursery for my client expecting her 3rd child and first girl! She wanted a wall of wallpaper in a subtle design to bring in color to the room. So we found this beautiful pastel pink speckle removable wallpaper from Livette’s Wallpaper. This inspired the direction for the color palette. We went with all white for the crib and changing table/dresser for a modern feel. We layered in pattern with this soft printed crib sheet from Crate and Barrel and fun shaped metal and wood mobile. The wall decor is simple. Framed prints mixed with a cute peg board for organization. Overall the look and feel is cozy, simple but fun. My client loved the final reveal.

For our baby boy Maxwell’s nursery, we wanted to capture a love of the outdoors with a whimsical flair. His room is full of antiques and furniture that we refinished ourselves. We repurposed some furniture from our daughter’s nursery and we were able to give these items even more love.

My girls and I LOVE a celebration! Valentines Day or Galentines Day is up there with our favorites! Each year since my eldest has been in school, she’s wanted to share her Donut Shop Valentines with her classmates. They are a super sweet spin on a regular valentine! Plus, enjoy some inspiration for my Love Baskets, some favorite Valentine books, and Galentines party ideas!

Combined my daughters two favorite things to create her first big girl room of her dreams!!

Inspired to make our nursery a neutral color palette with a touch of jungle fun. Irregular dot decals from Project Nursery line a portion of the crib wall to add a fun accent and draw the eye up to the vaulted ceilings. The crib is mid-century modern style and was built by sons paternal grandpa, which makes it even more special!

With a house full of boys I wanted my daughter to have a girly space to call her own.

When my client first reached out to me, she was looking to bring a sense of style to her son’s nearly empty nursery. The room was spacious with high ceilings and she already had a number of great staple furniture pieces, like a walnut dresser, grey armchair, George Nelson inspired bubble light fixture and a white crib. However, the room was in dire need of a cohesive design to pull everything together.
I honed in on a mid-century modern direction and fell in love with this black dotted line wallpaper to ground the space. I wanted the design to feel edgy with high contrast elements, yet still soft and playful enough for a toddler to enjoy. So, alongside all of the monochromatic pieces, we mixed in some really special accessories in varying shades of blues and yellows — from rope baskets and foldable crates, to felt pennants, soft toys and dolls, these pieces all work together so beautifully to bring richness to the space.
For additional depth and texture, we integrated a jute rug, a hand-woven wool ottoman, a decorative lion head made of water hyacinth and beautiful striped linen bedding. The fluted side table plays on the linear pattern of the wallpaper, while the wide bookcase serves as the perfect spot for books and speciality toy collections. We even added a few acrylic book ledges above the armchair to create a purposeful reading nook for bedtime stories.
From bare to bold, this room is now bright, effortless and oh so cool!

It was so lovely to work in this old Toronto home as I was able to accentuate unique features that give the space character — like vertical wall paneling, decorative air vent covers and painted shiplap inside the closet. Typically, we would have wallpapered the feature wall adjacent to the window; however, we decided to leave the wall paneling as is and created a focal point next to it with wallpaper and a hanging felted swan above a white and natural crib. Sometimes an atypical room layout can actually work to your advantage as it feels a bit more distinct to the space you’re working with!
To draw the eye up, we installed a rattan and linen pendant and switched out the previous window treatments with an antique brass curtain rod and blackout curtain panels installed as high to the ceiling as possible. We filled the space with beautiful textural elements like a pink faux sherling armchair, rattan mirror and doll bed, wool blanket, acrylic book ledges and fluted side table. To play with various patterns against the whimsical woodland wallpaper, we sourced a blush floral crib sheet, star cushion and floral art print. Don’t be scared to mix patterns — this can really bring depth to an overall room design. We didn’t want the space to feel too matchy matchy, so we mixed in blush pink tones with sage and olive greens, soft blues and even some brighter pops of yellow. The colour story really helps to carry the eye around the space.
It was important for my clients to maximize the available floor space for play, so instead of a large dresser we opted for an open oak bookcase to display books and toys and added a functional (and oh so cute) reading corner. I was also tasked to make the most of their tiny closet, so we found a small shelf with rattan drawers and used other various bins to keep clothes divided and neatly categorized.
There is no shortage of sweetness in this whimsical woodland nursery; from colour coordinated book selections, to specialty wooden ice cream toys and dolls… magic awaits!

This basement playroom project started off with a completely blank canvas; the ask was to create a cozy, comfortable, colourful & functional space for a very busy toddler! I wanted this playroom to feel bold and adventurous yet soft enough to work with the rest of the home. So we opted for a wonderful muted jungle wallpaper and an oversized muted geometric area rug to ground the space. These elements inspired a blue, green and yellow colour palette which we layered with interesting shapes, patterns and textures for an elevated feel.
Playrooms always need a solid organizational systems, one that’s easy to stick to! So we made sure to integrate both open and closed storage for this family — the closed cabinetry is perfect for art supplies, puzzles and toy collections divided into clear bins, while the open shelf encourages autonomous play with easy-to-access toys on rotation. Creating designated purposeful areas is probably the single most important aspect of any playroom design.
My clients already had a great dining table, so we used it to create an arts & crafts zone with beautiful soft green chairs. These are my favourite ones to use in kid’s spaces because they are wipeable, have a closed back and are light enough for kids to move around themselves.
To promote imaginative play we added a fun kid’s play couch, a canvas playhouse with the sweetest little windows and a wooden climber. A low coffee table is the perfect spot to play with building blocks, puzzles and trucks! Fun decorative touches bring so much personality to the room, like knotted floor cushions, pom pom bins, a flag bunting and wool wall hangings. The end result is a colourful fun-filled playroom with endless layers of fun to explore!

my two year old son has a new found obsession for all things construction so when it was time to transition his room to a big boy room, we went with a construction theme.
 

My 5.5 year old son requested black walls, superheroes, and toys in his room. His favorite superhero is Ghost Rider and it took awhile to find art that featured him, but wasn’t too scary. I used his favorite colors throughout the room: black, blue, gray, and red. To maximize toy storage & play space I installed a closet system that accommodates all of his clothes & costumes as well as puzzles & boardgames.
 
The room came together with pieces from all over the place- some we’ve had for years. Bed/ headboard (Wayfair), chair & fan (Home Depot), art & blue pillow (Etsy), rug & red pillow (Home Goods), black bookcase & blue floor bin (Crate & Barrel), blue striped sheets (Walmart/ Gap), white duvet, white sconces, globe light, gray felt bins, nightstand, closet system (IKEA), curtains (West Elm), black sconce & air purifier (Target), smart piggy bank, door hook & black furniture legs (Amazon). 
Although there are a lot of things in his room, there is still room to add more clothes and toys into the existing storage especially since we regularly purge (donate/ sell/ toss) items that no longer suit his needs.

We are so excited to share this earth tone nursery with you because it’s absolute perfection!
New mama Kelsey nailed this on-trend Bohemian nursery theme for her daughter, Winnie.
One of the most unique parts of this nursery is the nursery dresser. It was originally a free Facebook marketplace find, and her & her husband sanded it down and stained it, then cut out the drawers and added the cane and new hardware. Such a handy couple!
We also love her addition of cane to these inexpensive wood IKEA bookshelves. Another super creative, yet easy DIY project!
Fun fact: The center photo above the crib is from their wedding day. Their wedding flowers were so beautiful and the colors fit perfectly with her earth tone nursery theme.
Finally, she used the leftover cane from her other projects and framed it! Wall art can be expensive, so this is a great way to achieve that Boho look affordably.
We’re absolutely obsessed with how this nursery turns out and we’re sure Winnie will love it for years to come.

We picked our home office to turn into the nursery instead of a bigger space, like one of our guest bedrooms. We wanted the nursery to be right next to the master and knew we would have to work with a somewhat small space. I, personally, wanted to create a magical perspective on the natural world for our baby boy. I’ve never been big into blue/pink/koala bears/princesses and other cheesy baby decors. On the other hand, I’ve always been obsessed with preppy looks and old-world style. Nothing like the antic, cozy, and warm library feel of a very old house or manoir, but of course, we wanted the room to still be a fun and bright space for a very young kid. The nursery is filled with gentle but vibrant tones and soft, natural textures such as linen and cashmere fabrics with classic & timeless plaid & tartan as well as pieces of furniture that baby boy won’t outgrow in a few months and can keep for a long time. The wall art and different pieces have been carefully curated to tell my future little knight the most extraordinary stories!

Girls can like Trucks too! Our girl is fiercely trucking into THREE! We had the best day having a small celebration for this birthday GIRL! She is Digging being THREE!

Sebastians costal nursery. I wanted to create a special space for my baby boy due in February. This makes number 4 for me, so with it being my last baby I was inspired to go above and beyond to create something beautiful. It’s been a minute since I’ve created a boy nursery. I’ve been creating girl nurseries for the past 5 years. The ocean and beach are my happy place and I knew I wanted this room to have that feel. I started with the name sign first. I wanted to display his name in a unique way. I thought what better way than a surf board. Luckily I found a company “Marker Six” on Etsy that made my vision come to life.  My in laws just purchased a home in South Carolina. While visiting, I saw this beautiful wallpaper in one of the rooms. The blue and white, and mix of flamingos with palms are what did it for me! It was so elegant and costal. I loved it from the minute I saw it. I do have to give credit to my MIL for the finding. Once I found the wallpaper and name sign , everything else just fell into place. I started mixing boho decor in and beige tones. It really added warmth and made the room feel cozy. I am so proud of this nursery. It’s bittersweet that it is my last! This has been my all time favorite project!
To give you some context: I have two toddler boys & feel like I’ve been decorating with blues & greens for the last few years, so when we found out we were expecting a girl this time around, you guessed it- I knew I wanted to make her nursery extra girly, with lots of blush & feminine vibes. Back when I first started looking for nursery inspiration, I quickly realized there were SO MANY different adorable directions I could go with the room. I kept changing my mind between a preppy, classic look and a trendy boho vibe. It was a tough decision because I was truly loving both styles!  I decided to combine the two styles (not sure if this is allowed in the interior design world but I did it!) and I completely LOVE how it turned out. It has it all- the pink board and batten wood walls and gingham wallpaper push the classic, traditional girl nursery and the soft natural wood details incorporate the boho vibe. I grew up dancing, so I knew I also wanted to incorporate some ballet details. I did this by adding the ballet barre & mirror, as well as tying in some classic dancer dolls. The scalloped details add more of the extra girly flare and really ties the room together. A lot of what is incorporated into the nursery is what my 5 year old self dreamed about having in my bedroom growing up. I sure hope our little one grows to like her room as much as I do, but at the end of the day if she doesn’t- it’ll just give me another excuse to decorate her room all over again.

When our client came to us with the exciting news that she and her husband were expecting, we were thrilled and honored to be hired to design her nursery! Her only request was that the theme be Star Wars.
From the custom designed neon light, to the bold black wallpaper the acrylic boxes filled with lego built figurines, the collection of custom framed artwork for a splash of color and all the details in between this space was an absolute dream to create. All that was left was to add the most adorable baby to enjoy it!
