Luca’s Sunshine Nursery

We named our son’s middle name after my father’s middle name “Sol,” is the reason why we chose a sunshine theme. We wanted something boho but masculine. Natural wood colors with rust, mustard, blue and orange colors to represent sunsets in AZ where we currently live! I love the simplicity of the metallic gold sun wall decals, and using mustard colors in the details of his room really allowed the sun decals to pop out more. We love it!

Quinn’s Garden Nursery

Our garden inspired us! The room we chose for our baby girl’s nursery faces our back yard and our raised beds. The room also gets beautiful sunshine in the morning, making it a very peaceful space – just like our garden. I wanted to pull in floral/botanical accents, which is why we chose an accent floral wall paper with greens, yellow, and blush/peach colors. The rest of the room is finished in a green grass cloth wallpaper to add texture and to ground the room. I selected gold accents for framed prints and our window treatment to warm up the room and give it a sophisticated feel. We also incorporated woven textured accents around the room to warm it up, such as baskets to hide toys, diapers, and burb cloths. I wanted the nursery to feel personal and the details to feel special, so it was important to me that we collected the items on the shelves over time instead of just one big shopping haul at Target. I found some beautiful wooden toys including one personalized in her name, the books and stuffed animals were gifts or handed down from family, and I purchased the sun hat and wicker doll purse for when she is a bit older. We included some framed photos of a maternity session we did at the beach a few weeks ago.

Baby Girl Ocean Nursery

We LOVE the ocean and knew we wanted to do some kind of nautical nursery, regardless of our baby’s gender. When we found out we were having a girl, we were surprised at how hard it was to find gender neutral or girl items to decorate with. We chose pink and turquoise to anchor (pun intended) the space with little nods to the sea like the paddle, anchor hooks, rope mirror, woven pouf, and clothing dividers. We also swapped out the hardware on the change table to boat cleats and choose the Nook mattress in Glass color both for safety and because the “pebbles” look like bubbles.
We love the result – just enough of a theme to pull the room together but not too much that things look out of place if they aren’t ocean themed. Our girl Tia loves it!

Boho Black and White Nursery

We wanted a gender neutral vibe for our new baby boy arriving in early April! We love boho but wanted a modern feel which is why we introduced the mid century feel with the furniture. Instead of having a closet, we took off the closet doors and put the dresser in the closet to make the room feel more spacious. The rattan baskets and accents helped create more storage opportunities throughout the nursery!

Baby Sister’s Nursery

This is our second girl’s nursery. We just moved to a bigger house so each girl could have their own room, but little sister’s room was all the furniture from her big sister, Charlotte’s, nursery. We are lucky enough to live near the west elm, pottery barn, and crate and barrel outlet stores in Lancaster, PA so all of the furniture from those stores were bought on sale at the outlets. I wanted this room to feel like it was a brand new room for the baby, so a lot of the decor is new. She has all new knobs on everything, a new mirror, and new arch decals for the wall. I tried to keep things simple and clean with this nursery.

Sunny Joy

Ive always loved piecing together room designs with found items that don’t necessarily match perfectly! (This also helps stay on budget! 😉) I knew I wanted the room to feel warm, bright, cozy, and fresh while incorporating a mid century modern vibe that she could continue to grow into!
At the time I designed my daughter’s nursery, there were several Word Markets closing and you bet I took advantage of their liquidation sales! I found a pendant light that quickly became the center of my vision for the room as well as the perfect comfy and neutral swivel chair! The Anthropologie curtains were another favorite find!
I purchased the crib online and found the dresser on marketplace which, with a little elbow grease, a new top which I converted to a diaper bin, and some fresh hardware, became one of my favorite functional pieces in the room!
I found a few images from Pinterest including one image from a Society6 artist which inspired my mural.
And I designed a banner on which I hand painted her name with a pampas grass wreath for a personal touch.

An Out of This World Nursery

My goal was to design a sophisticated nursery with sweet, charming and thoughtful details that our little one could grow with through the years. I have a deep love for neutral tones and knew immediately that I wanted the nursery to have a monochromatic feel with a little splash of color. The “out of this world” theme lended itself perfectly to provide that boyish and playful pop.
