The Madeline book series is one of my daughter’s absolute favorites. We’ve been reading them together for over a year now, and Liesl can recite most of the lines by heart. Once I saw how much she (and I) loved reading these books, I decided to use ‘Madeline in Paris’ as the theme for her 3rd birthday party.
We built this custom stage and dress-up corner in an unused corner of the playroom. The kid’s had great dress up clothes and tons of imagination, they just needed a stage to perform on! We built the platform for the stage out of wood and painted it in an outdoor white paint to stand up to little high heels and boots. We worked with a professional workroom to create the stage curtains out of LuluDK’s fabric for Schumacher. We secured the top of the curtains to the walls and ceiling for support, and added tie-backs on the sides to hold the curtains back on each side. We also added a coordinating trim across the base of the platform in the front to add some color and tie it all together. It’s such a fun space!!!
I had a lot of fun transitioning our old nursery into a playroom for my two girls. I love color and what better place to have fun with it than in a playroom?! The room incorporates a mix of new, vintage, and DIY design elements. I love having a special space in our condo for our girls to be creative and play together.

My husband and boys have always been such Marvel, comic book fans. Superheroes is their thing, specially now that we have our little one. Emilio means so much to us, he is our little warrior. He was born 2 months premature and has come along way. This third Birthday means sooo… much to our family. He is our little Superhero!
This room is a great example of a client who wasn’t afraid to take chances. She was willing to paint the walls white and go bold with trim and accessories to make this a true statement room.
This was a mother’s day photo shoot created for Yum! Food and Fun for Kids magazine. I wanted to create a party where the KIDS could make everything FOR mom, giving her a bit of a rest! My daughters had so much fun helping me with this party! I really did make them do most of the work. ;-)
A little playful, colorful and a touch of modern this is my two boy’s shared bedroom. I needed to get creative with the little space I had. The size of the room was not ideal for two twin beds and the boys were much too little for bunk beds so I tackled a small bed DIY project.
With babe #4 on the way, I needed to pair up two of my daughters! I wanted something fun, cheery, bright, and inviting.
My daughter Emerald loves the Little Mermaid and Nemo. As an Event Designer I wanted to create the underwater world that she loved for her 3rd birthday party, but with a unique twist and sophisticated decor elements. Keeping the color palette pretty narrow, blues, greens, with white would be the key to the elegance of the party. The focal points are Dessert Table and Kid’s table.
This was my eldest daughter’s 6th birthday party. It would be her last party before becoming a big sister and we wanted to let her have the lime light one last time before she had to share LOL
A girly pink bedroom for two adorable sisters, one 5 yr old and one 2yr old.
Ava was born with a rare neurogenetic condition called Angelman Syndrome. As part of AS, she suffers from a sleep disorder, seizures, and has many special needs. Her room was designed to be both beautiful and safe, and be functional for caring for a disabled sweetheart! My dad (her Pop) built the bed from an origional design that he and I came up with, and my mom and I painted it to match the rest of her furniture. The dresser was a cheap craigslist find that I repainted, using a design pulled from her bedding.
Logan moved into his own room and wanted his own style.

Revamp of my daughter’s bedroom to update her existing furniture and bedding and give her room some pizzazz. And also make her love it so much that she’ll want to sleep in there the entire night.
We had my daughter’s 7th birthday at a local art/sculpture gallery, where she and her guests could build fairy (or gnome) homes from donated recycled materials.
This project was a complete overhaul from the custom upholstered headboards to the custom bolster pillows. We wanted the rooms to showcase the girls and their personalities but also wanted them to be able to transition as they grow. The rooms have great bones and colors that you can easily change the accent colors for a completely different look.
