Claire’s Nursery

For Claire’s nursery we chose the color scheme of yellow and gray. To steer clear of too much pink, we chose an aqua for her walls. I wanted to incorporate as many handmade items as we could. I am so grateful for my husband’s love of furniture building and am so happy with how the bookcase and window seat he built turned out. I am sure Claire will appreciate the hard work he put into making these pieces just for her  . He also added crown molding to the room, which I believe makes the room look much more feminine! My mother in law is a sewing queen! She was able to make many pieces for Claire’s nursery, as well as her cradle bedding (not pictured). I’m not as crafty as my other half (and his family), but I did manage to create the wreath we hung on Claire’s door. It was one of the few handmade items I made while nesting!

J’s Room

Tried to create a long lasting room that wouldn’t need to be changed later on. Wanted it to be colorful but not too crazy so just stuck to a few basic colors.  Didn’t spend too much, stenciled the wall with a homemade stencil and made the seat for the bench.

(My camera is pretty bad and making a foggy circle in some of the pictures or a blur around the sides… just a really bad camera)

An Under the Sea-Mermaid 3rd Birthday!

My daughter Emerald loves the Little Mermaid and Nemo. As an Event Designer I wanted to create the underwater world that she loved for her 3rd birthday party, but with a unique twist and sophisticated decor elements. Keeping the color palette pretty narrow, blues, greens, with white would be the key to the elegance of the party. The focal points are Dessert Table and Kid’s table.
