This is my younger daughter’s 3rd birthday party that we recently did for her. We went with a soft and sweet little butterfly party. I contacted Loralee Lewis and she created the most stunning butterfly printed goods to use for her party! We went with lavender, pinks and gold to make this theme really magical and sweet.
I wanted this theme to have a little bit of a rustic touch along with the fun whimsical elements that you see throughout the theme.
I worked with wonderful vendors to pull this theme and design together and I loved how it turned out! It was a magical day and by an amazing coincidence, there were butterflies all around on our party day!
My little man’s nursery has been the perfect little nest to cuddle, sleep and play in! It’s aqua walls with grass green and brown accents provided us with a soothing, warm yet airy environment in a very small space. Most of the pieces were DIY’d by my husband or me!
Now, my little man is not so little and we’ve transitioned him to a bigger room with a camping theme. (Hence, the toddler bed instead of a crib. I added back the changing pad to show what it was like back when he was little). This room will get a gentle makeover soon for baby boy #2.
Finally getting the pics posted here is my way of saying goodbye to this lovely little room!
Interior design by Shay Geyer of IBB Design. The parents wanted a a neutral nursery with pops of pink that would easily transition later on into a grown up bedroom or guest bedroom. The sheer fabric with embroidered arabesque pattern was lined to dress the windows and feel light and airy. Custom “LOVE” art was created by Kris Perry of Kidz Digz.

My good friend Meaghan and her husband found out last summer that they were expecting their second child, a girl, this February. Three of her close friends (Maylissa, Meghan, and Foullone) and I joined forces as fellow aunties and decided to plan a surprise event for her this time around. We aimed for a small, but meaningful gathering, in which her family and friends could be there for her, her husband (who was in on the surprise), and her son (Check out his Peanut and Elephant Baby Shower in my gallery!) in celebration of a soon-to-be new addition to their growing family.
We built a bright and colourful new bedroom for our toddler, since his new baby brother was soon going to be occupying our existing nursery.
Modern, bright, playful and fun!
The aim for this nursery was to create a gender neutral nursery. I love blue for both little girls and boys so we painted the walls in Dulux Angora Blue and then added a Leo Little Lion tree decal in yellow and white. Pops of color were used throughout the room.
At the time of photos, we were still awaiting a lovely white leather egg chair to sit in the corner of the room.
The brief from my client was to create a room which was inspired by safari animals. Based around the huge decal my client found, we tied in oranges, greens and blues to incorporate throughout the room.
My little client loves his room and was so excited on install day!
When I began planning my daughter’s nursery over a year and a half ago, I knew that I wanted the room to be fun, bright, and cheerful, but not too childish. I wanted the room to have the ability grow with my daughter over the next few years. Now that my daughter is one, I see that her nursery is everything I I envisioned it to be. It is such a cheerful space and my daughter absolutely loves it.
Shabby Chic Pink First Birthday Party
We were celebrating our daughter, Madison Blue’s first birthday party. “Madison in ONEderland”.
Celebrity-favorite Marie Ricci Collection, has introduced architectural interest to children’s rooms. Suitable for any parent’s sophisticated or playful style.
We created this nursery with a Beatrix Potter theme. It is perfect for a neutral nursery.
A soft and feminine nursery for our second baby girl with pieces that will grow with her. Drawn to the opposite style from the modern and playful design of her older sister’s room.
I had created this nursery for Ahaan sometime around his first birthday and I am finally getting around to posting these pics! Phew, life does get hectic after babies!
We needed to move Ahaan from his original nursery because he was quickly outgrowing the room (so much so that with all the furnitures, my husband and I could barely fit in there at the same time). Also because his previous nursery was the hottest room in the house, it was flaring up his eczema making him stuffy at night. I also wasn’t very proud of the old nursery so moving the nursery gave me an excuse to re-create that perfect room for him. In this nursery, I was able to put a lot of thought and inspiration to use. Now, I love hanging out in his new nursery :)
