Happy, Colorful Nursery
I’ve been dreaming about this nursery long before we knew we’d be having a little girl. We wanted to have a fun, colorful, gender-neutral nursery that this little girl could grow with!

This baby girl nautical nursery was a project my husband and I spent many weekends working on and designing. We wanted our daughter’s first room to be light, airy, girly, fun, and most importantly comfortable for her to start her life in! We are very happy with the end result, and everytime I walk into her room I get a smile across my face.
I wanted a nursery that would transition to a toddler/child’s room with minimal effort, a room that would grow with my daughter. I also wanted the room to feel relaxed but fun. I hope my baby girl loves it as much as I have loved creating it for her.
I wanted to update Blair’s nursery with more grown up colors. I decided gray would be a color she could grow with and the pink could be changed out if she wanted to. The black added a bit of an edge to the sweet decor.
This nursery/guestroom combo is about as serene and cozy as you can get while still adding a punch of color here and there.
I designed this softball birthday party for my 10yr old. She’s been playing for 2 yrs and loves the sport. She is not fan of pink, so I had to keep that out and go with her fave colors, red, black and blue.
After already having 2 boys and finally getting a girl, and another boy, I wanted to do a nursery that I could include pink, (my favorite color) but not be too girly. I love loud colors, obviously.
I waited 3 years to celebrate Sara’s birthday. I wanted her to be big enough to enjoy her special day and just have a good time with her friends and family which she sure did. I hired a baby sitter who works fro gymboree and she brought home all the fun stuff, their popular parachute, bubbles, gymbo the clown and also she did face painting for the little kids. All the kids were thrilled and had a great time.

A sweet striped purple, teal and mauve nursery for our baby girl, June.
My husband and I love traveling and wanted Sapphire to know other cultures and places in the world from a young age. On the purple and gold wall we have frames with baby sayings/poems from friends in the native language and translated in English from India, France, Kenya, Japan and Jamaica.
Nursery designed in a travel theme. Includes world map mural, wall mounted changing station, custom wall graphics, hot air balloons, maps, and globes. The room is done in soft pastels, with ivory and green as the base colors.
A punk rock nursery.
Welcoming our second daughter meant another room with many DIY touches. We reused the crib and chair but they were each given new elements to make the space feel new and special. The room is about having just enough (the essentials) with a backdrop that can transition into a big girl room one day.
We celebrated Luca’s 1st Birthday with a Peter Rabbit theme.
When we were expecting our first child, Elina, we designed a nursery themed around butterflies, flowers, and a lot of soft greens and pinks. We loved her nursery so much – that when we moved into a new house when she turned 2 – we decided to do the walls the same colour and keep the same theme. Elina’s crib converted into her new double bed and I added a few more touches to her “big girl” room.
A whole lot of blue and brown was used for our son’s nursery! My husband put in the hardwood floors after we had designed the nursery (an added bonus). I like the simplicity of it (I am no designer) and enjoyed designing the room. It’s not quite finished (walls) – still a work in progress.
It all started with a favorite children’s book and its artwork and the barn themed nursery blossomed from there. Arden’s grandfather built the barn door and installed functioning barn lights, and an on-going search for the right pieces for the room ensued. We couldn’t decide on a new wall color, so we went neutral and are happy we did! We aimed to achieve a mix of Shabby Chic, eclectic and “bumpkin” – and fell in love with the finished nursery!
There really were no other theme contenders for my son’s birthday this year. Diggers are on that boy’s mind all day, every day. Not sure if it’s the big tires, the dirt, the loud engines or just the manliness of it all, but he’s hooked.
Mariana`s parents wanted us to choose colors for her nursery room, but also to keep growing with her so that the same decoration was useful when she grows up.
Amir´s mom and dad wanted a nursery lovely and pretty for their newborn baby. They brought us the comforter and we developed the accessories. Please, tell us your opinion!
