Owl Nursery

Description

We are expecting our first child (baby boy!) in July 2012 and wanted to come up with a fun, bright colored nursery that could work for either gender as well as be something that could grow with him.  We didn't want something "right out of the box" from the store so we got creative and came up with this!  We're very happy with how it turned out!

Design Inspiration

Our inspiration came from the crib bedding.  We love bright colors (they are all over our house) and didn't want the nursery to be any exception.  We utilized all the colors in the bedding to make the room bright and fun!

Decorating Style

Our design style is a mix of some traditional as well as a mod-retro look.

Favorite Items

I really can't choose just one favorite - it might be the rug simply because orange is my favorite color.  My next favorite would probably be the cute owl prints!

 

Advice

Mix and match!  Don't feel like you have to buy everything from one specific nursery set in the store!  Mix colors, make it bright, and fun!
