Olivia's room was inspired by my love for damask print, so traditional with a vintage girly feel to it.

Design Inspiration

Olivia's room was inspired by my love for damask print, so traditional with a vintage girly feel to it. I am not a fan of traditional bedding collections out there, and the ones I loved were a small fortune.  I had my talented mother make this bedding for Olivia's room. I also wanted to bring some of my childhood into her room, using my ballet slippers and tap shoes from when I was a child as decor.

Decorating Style

This was our first girl, after having a boy first, so everything girly was in my style.  

Project Details

We started with the bedding materials and planned the room around that.  I found her dresser and I wanted the vintage trend to be apparent through the crystal drawer pulls. I made a hair clip holder using a frame, batting, material and ribbon.

Favorite Items

I love all of the transfers in her room on the walls with her name and the Coco Chanel quote-this set the tone for the room.  I also love the ikea scroll frame, which will end up having a mirror in it
