A Little Girl’s Red and Pink Nursery

Description

My children's rooms are my sanctuary during the day. This room needed to do double duty because we don't have a separate play area. That being said, I still wanted it to feel like a nursery and a place that was her own special space.

Design Inspiration

The painting in the red frame was the inspiration. Little did I know at the time, but Olive's namesake painted it. Felt like it was meant to be. Which is what I love about taking my time designing rooms- it all has a way of coming together on it's own.

Decorating Style

Using the "crap" I've got! I love to use something I already have and make it work or make it better. This room is full of those projects.

Advice

Take your time and don't over do it! Use pieces that have meaning and purpose and I promise the room will come together.
