Project Details
A lot of things were DIY or Etsy which is definitely up my alley. We saved a lot of money that way and also had fun finding the perfect thing in a more creative way than just swiping the ol credit card. I think we ended up with a fun whimsy mod look. I loved looking at Project Nursery and Apartment Therapy's OhDeeDoh.
Favorite Items
The pouf from Etsy, the Ikea pendant light, iconic rocker, the Dwell bedding, the mobile I made for her that she loves looking at
Advice
Do your research and shop around. Don't just settle for things in big box stores. Be creative and have a sense of humor - it's a kid's room after all!
Hello, love it ! WHERE DID YOU GET THE ART WITH THE PEARS??
HI, WHERE DID YOU GET THE ART WITH THE PEARS?
The shelf next to the crib, I know it’s from Ikea but what is it called?
I’m having trouble finding it.
Thx
Whats the paint color?
I love your nursery! I was also wondering what the wall color was as well.
Hey There. I discovered your blog using msn. That is a really well written article. I will be sure to bookmark it and come back to read more of your useful information. Thank you for the post. I will certainly return.
Woah this blog is fantastic i love reading your articles. Keep up the good work! You recognize, a lot of persons are searching around for this information, you could help them greatly.
The room is beautiful! Where did you get the pink canvas with the pears?
Where did you get the hanging light?
Where did you get the hanging light?
Bedding is called Charlotte by Dwell
Can you tell me where you got your bedding? I love it!
I love your gray walls. I’ve been looking for the right kind of gray. Could you share the brand/color of wall paint?
@marls04: The white giraffe is Jonathan Adler and the bench is from IKEA but is actually a media cabinet. We made it into a bench ourselves by wrapping IKEA fabric around plywood.
@MrsDuffmyster: the bookshelf is from IKEA
@lutis: thanks! It was easy to paint. We sanded it first and primed the base. We used Graham Ceramic paint and it worked beautifully. I think as long as you prepare it by sanding/priming you could use almost any type of paint and it would work fine. We did two coats to ensure good coverage. Good luck and have fun w/ your nursery!
I LOVEEEE that you thought of painting the bottom of the crib and the dresser… best idea ever! We have been looking at this same crib and I loved it, but wished the color was different on the bottom and we are doing a modern grey/white nursery so I’m so glad that I saw this post… and the dresser, SO CUTE! I never in a million years would have guessed walmart… I had my eye on a similar looking modern one that had a hefty price tag of over $900 and loves yours ever more… SCORE! I’ll now be getting these two pieces.. thank you for sharing!
Question: Was it easy to paint? (The bottoms come off right?) And what type of paint did you use?
Where did you get the bookshelf by the crib? I love it!
Hi, I love this room! where did you get that white giraffe? and the storage bench by the window? Thanks!
Thanks! The crib is from babiesrus.com (Babyletto Modo two tone but we painted the bottom gray ourselves) and the dresser is from walmart.com (Olivia but painted the bottom gray ourselves)
Love that crib and dresser! Where did you get them???
Thanks! The fixture is IKEA.
I love that pink canvass with the pear negative space you have there… and those shelves are awesome. Where did you get that lighting fixture near the window?
