Nursery Blues, with a Touch of Yellow & Gray

Description

Bear started out in the living room of our one-bedroom condo, but soon ended up taking over our bedroom and moving us to the finished basement. Because we'd already made a million changes to our home, I didn't want to make one more, so repainting our bedroom for Bear was ruled out. Thus, I needed to work with the color of the walls as they were: a deep, vibrant blue. This is the result.

Project Details

Crib, changing table and bookshelf are from Ikea. The rugs are from Target. Most of the prints on the wall are from Etsy, as are the bird cages, poms & changing pad covers. Bedding, bins & rocker polar bear are from Land of Nod. Yellow lamp is from Urban Outfitters and the small white table is from West Elm.

I have seen so many versions of the “Keep Calm” slogan, and I think I like yours best: Keep Calm and Read Jane Austen. Lovely, lovely room.

I bought the glider (it doesn’t recline) at a local shop, but the manufacturer is Younger out of North Carolina. The fabric isn’t photographing really well (due to my lack of skills) but I think it’s really pretty. We looked everywhere for a recliner that was affordable, comfortable & slim. I was so happy when we finally found this one.
