We wanted Nicolas' nursery to be whimsical and tranquil, but classic and contemporary at the same time. The room was painted camel tan so that allowed us to use a simple, yet chic and sophisticated color palette - light blue, brown, tan and hints of white.
Classic and contemporary with vintage elements.
- Crib, Letters, Side Table & Changing Table - Pottery Barn Kids
- Bookcase - Land of Nod
- Bedding, Lamp, Window Treatments, Vintage Airplane Mobile - Restoration Hardware Baby & Child
- Rug - Jonathan Adler
- Glider - Little Castle
- Giraffe - Melissa & Doug
- Hand Painted Art - Posh Tots
- Baby Buddha - eBay
The crib - it is the main focus of the room; with its classic lines, deep brown color and large size, it makes a statement.
Choose the paint color first, then decide on your palette. Simplicity is always better. Choose a special item in your room that will set the mood (ie crib, rug, wall, etc) and work around it.
