Our nursery project was inspired by our travels throughout the beautiful west coast of Ireland. We wanted to recreate the peaceful feel of a bright and airy coastal getaway in our home as a place to calm our sweet baby boy. We also had a budget to stick to, so instead of doing a traditional board and batten, we saved a few hundred dollars (and our existing baseboards) by retexturing the bottom portion of our walls with $20 worth of joint compound, a sander, and elbow grease.
