Nesting Doll Nursery

Description

Enjoy these picture of our little girl's nursery! We had a ball creating this custom, one of a kind room for our first born. I, her mother, had a vision and with help from family and friends was able to make this vision become a reality. My love for dolls shines through, and hopefully my daughter will acquire the same love!

Design Inspiration

I love and have always loved dolls.  I have collected them most of my life, and when I have visited foreign countries have made it a point to buy a doll as a souvenir.  I wanted a way to display some of my dolls in my daughter's nursery, but in a fun, funky, modern sort of way.  I found this awesome nesting doll fabric that incorporated all different colors, and I knew as soon as I saw it was I was going to do!  I took the theme and ran with it.

Decorating Style

Colorful, bold, modern, funky, but with a feminine twist!

Project Details

I used a beautiful blue from Sherwin Williams for the walls, and got all three pieces of Amy Coe's furniture when it was on clearance.  It was my favorite out of all the furniture we looked at- even the very high end stuff.  I was sad to see they were discontinuing it.

The bedding was custom made, and the art was done by my sister and me.

Favorite Items

My favorite thing about the room is the entire crib space.  I love everything about it.  The crib, the bedding, and the paper lanterns.
