Navy Nautical Nursery

Description

This is our version of our little captains quarters.  We wanted to create a calming nautical nursery for our little man.  We used greys, whites, navy, and a hint of aqua to transform this former extension of our master bedroom.  Batten board, dark doors, and vaulted ceilings all made this room fit for a little captain. I love that this room can grow with logan and we can add personal touches as he gets older.  A mixed of old, refurbished, and new items all blend together for a perfect navy nautical nursery.

Design Inspiration

I love navy.  I think it is the new neutral! Of course who doesn't think nautical when they see navy, it was a perfect fit!

Decorating Style

Clean and traditional and modern on a budget ;)

Project Details

I love that i was able to gather many things for logans nursery.  Nine months of collecting just the right items.  Most of my new items were purchases from hobby lobby, target, and ikea.  The doors were refinished with General finished java gel stain, a wonderful product! The batten board was achieved with mdf from The home depot.  Fabric from hobby lobby  up-cycled a glider and ottoman and made it new again! The vinyls are from https://www.etsy.com/shop/CustomVinylbyBridge.

Favorite Items

The accessory wall turned out so well in my opinion.  I love how everything just ended up fitting on the shelves and telling its own story of logans nursery.

Advice

Just have fun with it! I painted our old crib navy, refurbished a rocker and end table.  You don't have to spend a ton of money to get a room that looks fabulous!
