Description
This was a baby shower thrown for me last month. My wonderful Aunt and Mom were the masterminds behind the event. The nautical theme was accompanied by the cute slogan, "Ahoy, it's a boy!"

The sweets table turned out amazing! Check out the brown sugar used to mimic sand in the dessert pales! I also loved the "Welcome Aboard" life preserver that was used as a guest book. Everyone at the shower signed it with best wishes for Baby D and it will be hung in his nursery.

What pens did you use to write on the life preserver that didn't smudge? Thanks.

[…] This “Welcome Aboard” life preserver for a guestbook is symbolic in so many ways. Firstly, it signifies the start of a new journey- the journey of motherhood, and secondly, it reminds every tired mother of how precious and nurturing this journey is to her. You can ask your friends to write their wishes in blue markers, so that they stand out better against the stark white background. Once the wishes are penned down, hang it up in the nursery as a permanent reminder of happy times. via projectnursery. […]
