Description
With the upcoming arrival of a little sister, Natalie got a special ''Big Girl Room'' at 18 months old. I wanted to make it a really colorful and happy room for her so she would be excited to move into it, and thankfully she loves it!
Design Inspiration
I just wanted it to feel happy and warm so I used lots of pinks and yellows and tried to keep it somewhat simple. I'm not so great at keeping things simple, but I love how everything fits together.
Decorating Style
Lots of DIY. My decorating style changes a lot, but I love the way her room turned out. It's got a little bit of a grandma style to it and I love that for a little girl :)
Project Details
Lots of DIY in this room, but we found a lot of great deals in stores too! The herringbone rug is from Urban Outfitters. The sheets and comforter set is from Target. The shelf in her nook and her bed are from IKEA. I made the headboard for the bed, the curtains, the cushions in her nook and some of the other stuff in the room.

Favorite Items
I love it all, but I am obsessed with the buffet that we found at Goodwill and painted mint.
Love your calico critters area. If you ever want to sell the train, please let me know!
I love the DIY feel of the room. My fave is that cozy reading nook with the day bed and the miniature village on a table.
