Being a military family, home is very important. Even if we are 16 hours from our home state Tennessee, I like to bring a little bit Tennessee to New Jersey, with Nash's nursery I incorporated lots of metals, woods, burlap & rich colors that all remind my husband & I of home.
Woodland theme, Tennessee & pops of rich colors!
Antique, Raw, Natural, Crafty.
For Nash's room I personally refinished each piece of furniture. I purchased a 1920's tall dresser and revamped it with a new white face. For his crib I took a semilingly ordinary cherry wood crib, and gave it an all white paint job with heavily dressed chunks, the long dresser/changer combo followed suit.
I purchased the faux fur blanket, Aztec and arrow throw pillows, metal/burlap baskets, toy & laundry basket from our local Target.
I purchased cardboard letters from Hobby Lobby & painted them in his room colors, the fox & bear print, wood plank/moose head are also from Hobby Lobby.
The wood slats on the wall are old planter box pieces. The quote inside the second wood plank section is a few verses from the song Simple Man.
