Modern Rustic Nursery

This collection was designed for a friend of mine who supported my dream of starting my own line of nursery bedding & decor! The crib sheet, crib skirt, blanket, pillow and curtains are all original and exclusive designs for my new line, Rock & Rollick which launches this spring of 2016.

Design Inspiration

My friend wanted a nursery that was rustic yet still modern. Capturing the great outdoors and pairing with red since her husband is a firefighter. The red was a special request and won't be offered as a standard choice for the launch due to printing and fabric choices, but I think it looks fantastic in her space!

Decorating Style

This particular collection is a blend of modern and rustic, with touches of native american influence, and I would say that carries through in many of my design choices. As a whole I would sum up my style as folk rock or even boho folk rock.

Project Details

The crib sheet, crib skirt, blanket, and curtains will all be available this spring (minus the red color option) on my new website for Rock & Rollick. Sign up for launch specials and to be one of the first to shop! I have posted this whole collection (including items not shown) on Pinterest if you're interested in seeing more. Outside this collection, you can follow my process and see some designs from other collections on Instagram as well.

For the items I didn't design: The crib and dresser set are from Buy Buy Baby and I don't have the exact link, but the rocking chair is Lazy Boy and was purchased at Mathis Brothers.

Favorite Items

I love how the bear pattern turned out that was used for the crib sheet and blanket (so much I had to use it in my sons room too!)

I think the key that really made this room work was the balance between the rustic wood wall being paired with modern/clean lines in the furniture. The fabrics used also balance between feeling handmade and clean and simple. I think my friend did a beautiful job of pulling it all together and I'm thrilled I got to help capture her vision for the room!
