A Modern, Colorful, Cheerful Toddler Room

Description

Our second daughter, Kate, sleeps in this nursery, and we love how happy and bright the room is!

Design Inspiration

I was inspired by a picture of a tablescape with white and bright colors. I knew I wanted to paint the walls white and bring in lots of color in the accessories.

Decorating Style

Cheerful! I really enjoy Scandinavian Modern interiors, but I love a youthful, bright, fun, eclectic space with lots of color!

I really love the glider. I have spent a lot of time in that chair—snuggling, reading, feeding, dozing! :)

Advice

Find a color story to begin with, then look for ways to layer color on color. Fill secondhand frames with the art that is all around you—a pretty notecard, a tearing from a catalog, an ultrasound picture! Hang up sentimental and beautiful children's clothing to fill wall space and use what you already have! If you have carpet, don't be afraid to lay a rug on top. It brings in pattern or color and grounds the space.

Where did you get the crib sheet and changing pad cover?

Would you mind sharing the paint color and brand you used for the blue color on the dresser please? We are desperately trying to find something like that for a gender neutral room!
