Mint and Puppy Nursery

Description

Baby boy nursery inspired by the color mint and puppies.

Design Inspiration

We have two miniature Australian Shepherds that we love to bits and pieces.  So I wanted to bring our love of dogs in to the baby's nursery and we hope that our baby will learn to love and appreciate dogs and animals of all kinds.

I found these beautiful watercolor prints of Australian Shepherds from Etsy and I knew I wanted the color mint as the primary color for the nursery, so I designed everything around those two components.

Decorating Style

I typically love the French cottage, almost shabby chic style.  However, since I am expecting a little boy, I couldn't indulge in my love for ruffles, lace, and florals.  So I went the opposite route and did a more modern nursery.  But I did infuse a bit of "shabby chic" by repurposing a dresser I bought off Craigslist and used that as the changing pad table and dresser, which I painted in Annie Sloan's chalk paint.
