Description
A whimsical, traditional, eclectic nursery for our twin baby girls. Main colors: Robin's egg blue, coral and yellow. I had a lot of trouble uploading pictures, so if you want to see more please visit my blog: http://twoscoopsforme.blogspot.com/2011/07/two-cribs-exactly-milly-clarabelles.html
Design Inspiration
I started out with the colors I wanted to use most- coral and Robin's egg blue. I love big prints, so that was what I chose next.
Decorating Style
I wanted it to be whimsical, sweet and a little eclectic.
Project Details
I bought pre-made black out panels for the drapes and sewed the fabric to the front. This made it much less time consuming and less expensive. They were $15 at Wal-Mart.
Favorite Items
I started by making the cornice board above the window and the drapes. The rest became my 'bed rest projects'. My Mom and I completed all of the bedding while I was confined to the couch (I had nothing but time!). After we finished this I decided I needed some artwork, so using fabric remnants I created the bird pictures and the mobiles. The pictures actually tell a story of a mommy and daddy bird having two baby birds (hehe!). There's a burlap nest involved-might be my favorite part.
Advice
Pick the colors and patterns you love first then let the room come together around them.

Hi there,
I like the grey and white striped carpet in the nursery listed on Pinterest. Can you tell me where you bought it?
Thanks, Meredith

Please oh please tell me where you got that rug. I would live to get it for my new niece.
I was wondering about the fabric used for the curtains…what is it called/who is it by?!
Where is the coral bedding from?
Where is the rug from?
Thanks for the comments! I too wish that there were more (better quality) pictures! I spent forever trying to upload to this website and had to shrink the ones that made it up! But you can check out more pictures on my blog: http://twoscoopsforme.blogspot.com/2011/07/two-cribs-exactly-milly-clarabelles.html
The dresser and crib are from Pottery Barn, the knobs from Anthropologie
Very pretty, where is the crib and dresser from?!
I love coral, too. And I think pairing it with robin’s egg blue was a fantastic idea. I wish there were more (better quality) photos showing more of the room’s details, though.
