Michael’s Colorful Airplane Nursery

Description

My husband and I decided to do an airplane themed nursery since he is a pilot.  I wanted to keep it colorful and modern.  We were on a budget and proud that the project came in under $800, including all the furniture.  We rent, so we had to keep the walls their original color, but added as many pops of color as possible to brighten the room up.

Design Inspiration

Aviation and color.

Decorating Style

I like contemporary and comfortable.  For children's rooms, I'm all about as much color as possible.

Project Details

The crib, changing table, and rug are from IKEA.  The glider was a craigslist special.  The floor pouf is from HomeGoods.  The bookshelf was repurposed from our old office and repainted.  I handmade the aircraft art and all the ABC cards.  The crib mobile was homemade as well with some help from my husband.  The decal, the airplane pillow, and the bundting above the window are from Etsy.

Favorite Items

My favorite item is the crib mobile because we spent so much time and effort on it and it is one of a kind.
