Max’s Nursery

Description

A little boy's nursery designed on a tight budget

Design Inspiration

The inspiration for this nursery was the Navy Serena and Lilly bedding. It was given to us by a friend, who's son had outgrown it.It was in excellent condition and I designed the entire room around it.

Decorating Style

Traditional and Transitional

Project Details

Valence and rods are from Target; Alphabet decals are from Target too; Magnetic green tree is designed by Shelley Weinstock (310-204-4253); Bedding is from Serena and Lilly; Book case is Bratt Decor (painted in Luna Piers, Dunn Edwards); Pale blue walls (DE Alaskan Sky); canvas art work is from Jeeto.com; MAX letters are from PB Kids.

Favorite Items

My favorite item in the room is the magnetic tree designed by Shelley Weinstock (310-204-4253). The red apples are magnetic and serve as small picture frames. It is genius! Also love the navy book case - it was given to me by a friend and I had my  handyman paint it navy, to match the room.

Advice

Choose bedding that you love and want to design your room around! Make sure it is a room that you love and that your baby will enjoy.

The magnetic tree is indeed a brilliant idea. And the apples being little photo frames is such a wonderful bonus! I wonder if there’s another magnetic “tree” design that’t not a tree.
