Description
A soft pink nursery for our baby girl.
Design Inspiration
For my little girl's room I wanted to create an escape that was soft and peaceful, feminine and girlie. I love toile materials, Peter Rabbit, Ballet and vintage styles, therefore I really tried to incorporate all of that into her nursery.
Decorating Style
Victorian, vintage, simple and elegant
Project Details
The room is painted in Ballet Pink and Biloxi which I picked up from the Home Depot. I added the white chair rail after the room was painted.
The crystal light fixture is also from Home Depot and adds a soft, romantic and vintage feel to the room.
The nylon butterflies are from Bugs N Blooms, an online retailer.
The crib and changing table are by Lullabye and I purchased them along with the chair from Buy Buy Baby. I loved the antique white color of the furniture and the victorian looking style of the crib.
The small night stand and spice rack (which is holding shoes) are both from consignment shops and I repainted them to match the furniture.
The Madison sign was a gift and was purchased at Home Goods after we finished the room. Ironicly it matches perfectly! And the Peter Rabbit stuffed animals are collector's items which were purchased on Amazon.
The ballerina painting is from Oopsie Daisy and the ballerina tutu's on the sides are intended to hold barrettes, clips and headbands and were hand made by my mom. My mom also made the curtains (which are sheer with ruffles around the border) as well as the diaper caddy which easily attaches to our changing table. My mom and I worked together to make the toile and patchwork baby bedding for the crib, so that project in itself is something that will always have a lot of meaning to me.
Favorite Items
I love the Beatrix Potter Peter Rabbit Collector's Edition Barbie - it was a gift from my godmother and aside from having special meaning to me it adds to the room.

Your nursery looks so much like those cute Sylvanian Families rooms that my daughters just love! I really like the mix of Victorian and cottage charms in your decor. That ballerina painting between the ballet dresses is too lovely for words!

This room looks so feminine, soft and delicate. Perfect for a very precious little girl! My favorite items in this room have to be that cute little shoe rack and that cottage-style Madison sign!
