Maci Jay’s Nursery

Description

The last baby and first girl, it had to be PINK! Because it was the last baby we found good used pieces to create the room.

Design Inspiration

Classy pink. Not to babyish.

Decorating Style

I dont really have a style I just had this vision in my head that no one else could get until I found the perfect pieces I was looking for.

Project Details

The bedding is from pottery barn, the crib, changing table, side table, and chair were all found on craigslist. We recovered the chair to match the nursery colors. I made the bow holder out of a blank canvas from michaels, I covered it in fabric and stapled on ribbons. I made the pillow. I saw some cute quotes on Etsy and motified them on the computer to suite the room and printed them out. I spray painted an old lamp base white and purchased a plain white shade to match. I then added ribbon to the shade using the colors in the room. I spray painted a metal flower to match the room. I found a plate at target and used vinyl to dress it up. Painted wooden nesting boxes to match and added vinyl to them for her closet and framed scrapbook paper in little frames and hung them by a ribbon. The wall decal I made up in photoshop and had a friend who owns a print shop cut it out in vinyl.

Thank you ladies!! Kelbel I had 4 patches on different shades of green on the walls for forever because I wanted the colors reversed... I just couldnt decide. I went to the store to get more samples and saw the pink and just knew that was the color. My mom thought I was crazy. I just love it....its not so traditional pink to me. Its like a rasberry sorbet in my mind.

This is exactly what my invision is for my baby girls room... I picked out the same bedding at Pottery Barn Kids but my only modification would be sage green walls instead of pink, and where you have green accents I'd have them pink. LOVE THIS!

Awww... the only princess in the family sure deserves an extra pretty room. You did a really good job with this one. I have always liked pink and green color combo for girls.
