I wanted to make a room that was not you average boy room! This room is vibrant and every time we go in it, he notices something new! Lots of FUN!

Design Inspiration

A good mix of old and new. I wanted just grey and white with touches of color... It went a little further than a touch!

Project Details

We started with the walls, Faux wainscoting is what we did first. Then onto the wall color, a real true grey is what I wanted. Next came the armoire, I wanted HUGE one but the room could not handle it, so I found this armoire on Craigs List. Painted it blue and put new handles on it. The rug is from Overstock.com, Chair is white and from Phillips furniture. Changing table is also used and painted with a fresh coat of crisp white paint. Chalk board behind chair, I made for my baby shower and had all the guests sign it. Bird cages hanging from the ceiling I have had for years and painted them each a different color. Ants on the wall are from Cold Water Creek and the baby ants are from a boutique here called MoonBeams. The mobile is a special project I made. Pictures from random shops, and Etsy.com.  Shutters are from Budget Blinds. Foot stool is also from Craigs List, I just painted it and bought the faux fur from a fabric store.
