Luke’s Turquoise Elephant Nursery

Description

Turquoise and gray elephant nursery.  Not too baby-ish but just the right amount!

Design Inspiration

My husband is an Alabama fan and I wanted to incorporate the elephant in with my choice of colors, turquoise and gray.

Decorating Style

I seem to like color combinations that are hard to find! :) I don't know that I have a particular style.  I just dream something up and go from there!

Project Details

wall lettering from Craft Cuts, houndstooth rug from Overstock.com, decals, wall art and changing pad cover from Etsy, frames from Target, elephant drawer pulls from Amazon.com, custom window seat and window treatment from Karen Ballard Design.  I suggest doing a lot of research to find the perfect accessories.  Take any small details from a room you've seen and roll into your perfect room.

Favorite Items

All of the wicker furniture was my Grandmother's.  I painted it and added beautiful pewter elephant drawer pulls on the dresser.  It's so special to me to have a piece of her in my child's room.

Advice

Have fun!  Don't be afraid of paint.  You can always paint over!
