Lucian’s Gender Reveal Party

Description

I had no idea what the sex of our baby was yet, so we had the ultrasound tech. write the sex on a card and place it in a sealed envelope, and we took that to our baker, who then filled the cake with the color filling that matched the sex of the baby.... our baby BOY! so it was filled with blue, it was a really fun & emotional way to find out, I'm really happy we did it this way! I didnt want a baby shower, but still wanted a party, and this was perfect!!

Design Inspiration

I chose Tiffany blue, Gold, Silver & white as my color scheme...I wanted a regal/royal theme- because Tiffany blue is a shade of blue that I think works for both girls & boys (but I must say its a tough color to match perfectly when accessorizing the party, half of what I ordered online arrived being actual baby boy blue... but it all worked out in the end!!)

Project Details

I did a TON of online shopping since I was on bed rest most of the time, but searching online is a great way to save on items that cost WAY more in stores anyhow, between that, party city, michael's & smarty had a party, I was set. But remember before shopping to utilize what you already have at home! Its a great way to save $$$!!!!

I think this was beautiful. Where did you find the pink and blue passy ornaments in the tree? We did this with cupcakes for our daughter, and we did blue decor for our son’s party to surprise our family so I love these parties. I didn’t have the willpower or patience to wait to find out though, lol. I kind of enjoyed our guests watching to see if we were going to slip up before cupcake time, but we didn’t.

  3. Very cute! We have another fun way to reveal a baby’s gender. Check it out:

I love the idea and the colors. I wish I had come up with an idea like this. Finding out with friends and family has to be better than in an uncomfortable doc office with the ultrasound tech. :) It looks beautiful.

I love this idea! As the mother of one suprise baby, and a second surprise on the way, I have two unopened envelopes in my china cabinet with the sex of the baby written on a paper inside them. This was such a cute idea!
