Description
My daughter's room was a blank slate. The walls were builder's beige. I wanted a fun and colorful space for my daughter to relax and play.
Design Inspiration
Kam is fun and spunky and I wanted her room to reflect that. Her favorite color is green so I had to use that. She asked for butterflies so I incorporated them into the design.
Decorating Style
I would say my style is very modern and contemporary.
Project Details
Paint color - Behr Japanese Fern, Bed - gift, Dresser - Ikea, Storage unit - Ikea, TV stand - Target but painted white to match other furniture, Bedding - Target, Rug - Walmart, DIY projects - gallery wall, curtains, sunburst mirror, name art, pillows and paper lantern.
Favorite Items
The gallery wall is my favorite. It has butterflies and symbolizes the transformation and growing my daughter will go through as she gets older.
Advice
I would find bedding or curtains first so you can pull colors from that for the rest of the room. Have fun and incorporate your child's personality into the room.

Love the vibrant colors! What paint color (name and brand) is the green? I’m looking for something similar for a wall in the nursery!
My friend told me about this. Interesting…
