Description
I wanted a cheery, bright and not too baby-ish room for our baby girl. I decided to incorporate different sleepy animals because I find them all irresistibly cute! So my theme morphed into a woodland/sleepy animals/rustic type look.
Design Inspiration
I browsed many websites for design inspiration. My favorites were Project Nursery, Pinterest, Etsy, and Chic Cheap Nursery. Having a baby girl was an absolute dream come true so I got tremendous joy out of browsing and shopping for the nursery. Love is in the details.
Decorating Style
My decorating style is modern and contemporary with a little rustic touch.

Favorite Items
My favorite item is the crib skirt that my sister made. I searched all over for a crib skirt and didn't love anything I saw so decided to make one! We followed this no-sew crib skirt tutorial: http://www.younghouselove.com/2009/08/skirting-the-issue/
I also really love the sleepy animals. My favorite is the yellow owl in the crib that was handmade in Australia.
Advice
Definitely start early so you can browse multiple sites for inspiration. You may find you like one theme only to discover there's another you like better :). If you find something you love for the nursery, it just may be the thing that helps you visualize the rest of the room. Creating a nursery Pin Board on Pinterest is helpful to gather your ideas. Enjoy the process as it can be so much fun!

I love those giant scrabble wall tiles! Love the light colors, too, and the room's overall simplicity.
