Description
A gender-neutral woodland theme nursery was decorated for our first baby. Expected to arrive February 2015, the gender of the baby is a surprise, so we opted for soft neutral colors.
A soft, neutral colour pattern of creams and light greens was used to provide a warm, comforting atmosphere.
Design Inspiration
Our rural location in Franklin, Quebec Canada, surrounded by apple orchards and maple trees set the tone for the woodland-themed nursery.
Decorating Style
Modern, yet warm and comforting, with hints of rustic elements.

Advice
Start with one favorite item (in my case, the braided chenille rug in seaglass from L.L. Bean) and use it to pull colors and textures for the rest of the room.
Hunt for accents at antique shops and Homesense/ Winners.
