Kingsley’s XO Nursery

This room was such a blast to design. With welcoming our second baby girl, so soon after our first (22 months later), I was worried that I'd be a one-trick pony and just replicate our first daughter's nursery, which I love so very much! But, I was determined to give sweet Kingsley a room all her own and equally determined to step outside of my design comfort zone.

I had my eye on the Love Wallpaper by Sissy + Marley for Jill Malek since we first brought it into The Project Nursery Shop. With that as my base and Pottery Barn Kids onboard to partner together, I was giddy and nervous to start adding tons of texture and patterns! From the Hazel Rug to the large X O prints and neon sign on top of the wallpaper, I was all in to be funky and original.

At times, I almost retreated back to the comfort of solid colors and bare walls, but my Project Nursery colleagues encouraged me to go for it. Throw in a fiddle leaf tree, a letterboard with song lyrics and some pink Converse, and it's a room I know I'll love for years to come.

Catch up on all the fun from moving while 8 months pregnant to bringing this room to life with the whole fam.
