Description
Although I am having a boy, I still wanted my nursery to be pretty. I spent a lot of time researching and collecting inspiration, like 8 months worth! This is the result.
Design Inspiration
One of the very first things that I found and fell in love with was the bunny duvet and bunny pillow. From there I built the room somewhat around that.
Decorating Style
My decorating style is very modern in the rest of my home, although I did not want that for my babies nursery. I had always envisioned a more whimsical, pretty, cozy nursery to bring the baby home to.

Advice
Start researching for your nursery very early so that you have plenty of time to put it all together without feeling stressed to get it done right before your baby arrives! You can do it all in stages and it will feel much less overwhelming.

I am a grandma to be. I love your nursery. I live to knit and fell in love with your mobile. Would love to make it for my grandson. Thank you for sharing
Hi Katie!
I’m SO sorry, I just discovered your message! So, this maybe a little too late, in which case I’m truly sorry!
The frames are from Hobby Lobby and the actual artwork is by Trafalgar Square on Etsy. They have darling illustrations!
The rocking horse was a gift I received at one of my baby showers so I don’t have that information.
Best of luck to you and again so sorry for the extremely late reply!!
Allison
Hi Allison,
I see that your due date has passed, and I hope you are enjoying motherhood! Your nursery is one of the first I have seen that truly is gender neutral but absolutely beautiful at the same time. Would you mind telling me where you go the framed animal prints from and the little giraffe rocking horse? Thank you for your help and many blessings on your new addition!
Hi there! Beautiful job. I ordered most of my furnishings via Restoration Hardware Baby & Child, and am just working on the finishing touches. So funny as I bought the same pillow (or similar) from Pom very early on!
Do you recall which bedding set from Restoration you ordered? Tough to tell if it’s green (seafoamish/sky) or actually blue.
I’m also wondering about the beautiful frames that your artwork is in! Where did you find those?
Hi Elizabeth,
The elephant, lion and giraffe are all from Restoration Hardware Baby.
Where did you get the gray elephant and the giraffe too? I really like all of the animals.
I love this room! I particularly like the crib. It reminds me of an old fashioned cast iron bed which I love! And I love the colors, they are soft but not too soft!
Hi Kelly,
Thanks so much!
The paint colors I used are Olympic brand, from Lowes. The color names are Country Beige (cream color) and Barefoot Beach (taupe/ beige color). The colors are slightly lighter in real life than they appear in the photos, just an FYI.
The cream stripe width is wider than the taupe stripe. The cream width is 11 1/2″ and the taupe width is 9″.
Hope this helps!
Thanks,
Allison
This is gorgeous! What color paints did you use? How wide are the beige and white stripes?
Lovely nursery. I like everything about it! And oh, good luck on the delivery.
Hi Boomie,
Sorry I don’t know the name of the dresser organizers. However, I believe they are the only ones they carry at Ikea.
Allison
hello, what is the name of the dresser organizer fro ikea ?
Thanks
thank you so much! i found it on amazon!!
Hi Sarah,
The artists name is Trafalgar Square on Etsy.
Allison
love love love the artwork! do you remember the easy sellers name??
Thank you everyone for the very nice comments!!
Elyse, the pouf is from a flash shopping site called One Kings Lane, which has daily discounted sales on designer furniture and gifts. So I don’t think it’s still available from them. However, I know I have also seen this same one on Amazon.com. If you type in Moroccan pouf they should come up for you!
Good luck!
Jee,
Yes,seems like this nursery was done by a seasoned designer =)
Absolutely stunning! So well organized & thought out =) I love Restoration Hardware,I have the same bedding set but in pink/dove. I really like the striped walls, makes the room bigger & goes so perfectly with all the toys you chose for the room.
Such a beautiful nursery! I was wondering where you got the outamin for the glider! I’ve been looking for one and that would go purfect in my nursery!
Thanks!
AMAZING! I LOVE IT!!!
Sarah,
Hi Sarah,
The elephant chair is FAO Swartz and is from Babies R Us. The matching elephant in the bookcase is the same. The blue and white striped mini elephant is from pottery barn kids. And the chambray elephant is from Restoration Hardware Baby.
Good luck with your nursery!!
Allison
The paint job is amazing! U may have a second career as an interior designer. Awesome job!
Kingsley won’t be disappointed.
