Kennedy’s Shabby Chic Tea Party

Description

I wanted Kennedy's first birthday to be unique and special, and make most of her party decor. I decided  on throwing her  a Shabby Chic Tea Party!! This mommy likes to make stuff! It kept me very busy making projects such as the banners, bunting, poms, labels, cake toppers, hanging flower balls, label holders etc... I did a lot of goodwill shopping for the tea cups and dolls. I found many things around the house and in her room to use. I also set up her first birthday shoot and captured some amazing photos! I hope you enjoy my sweet peas First Birthday Party!!

Design Inspiration

Tea parties, spring time, porcelain dolls, flowers and shabby chic

Decorating Style

Shabby Chic, vintage, twist of modern and a DIYer

Project Details

I found the labels for her water bottles and cupcake toppers on Etsy. Many of the tea cups at goodwills.  Fabrics at Mardens.

Favorite Items

My favorite items were the tea cups, porcelain dolls, banners I could go on.. and on. Her 12 month picture banner. I printed out each monthly picture I took of her and made a banner so family and friends could see how much she has grown.

Advice

A lot of do it yourself. I went with the shabby chic theme and it was  so easy finding lots of vintage stuff and lots of flower prints and many things to create.
