Kailey Ann-Elizabeth’s Nursery!

Description

Fun, Pink, Girlie, Jungle Theme Nursery!!!!!

Design Inspiration

Our inspiration stemmed from us wanting a Jungle theme, which is not so easy when your also trying to make it look girlie.

Decorating Style

Our style is very girlie with a modern jungle theme. We went with a dark wood crib and dresser but then contrasted it with a white bookcases and and a white toy chest to lighten up the color in the room and separate sleep area from play area. This room is very Colorful and Cheerful!!!

Project Details

The SleighCrib is from Pottery Barn, Dresser/ Removable Changing table top  is from Bellini, The Sleigh Table is from Pottery Barn,  Gray Rug is from USA Rugs.com, Pink and White rug is from HomeDepot, The paint is Benjamin Moore Colors: Bottom is Razzle Dazzle, and the Top is Pink Peony, however the paint we used is a low VOC Valspar paint from Lowes (not as expensive as Benjamin Moore and Lowes was able to do the color we wanted just brought them the color number), The Bedding is JO JO Jungle theme, The Toy Chest is from Bellini, and the book cases are from 1984 just refinished and repainted white. The very comfortable recliner/rocker is from BUY BUY BABY, The big jungle picture is from ICanvas.com and the smaller picture of the monkeys is from Art.com, The letters we painted with the paint we had for the walls, and the quote and monkey decal are from Etsy.com. The giant stuffed animals are from the  Melissa and Doug Collection.

Favorite Items

I really love how the whole room came out its hard to pick one favorite item, however one of the monkey stuffed animals is my own from when I was a kid and the clock on her bookcase is also mine from when I was little, I thought it was cool that we could incorporate those items.

Advice

Take your time, my husband and I have been ordering stuff since February for the room we did not actually do anything to the room until May but we gradually collected things that we thought would work in the room, by doing that we spread out the cost and really picked out stuff that went nice together.  It was fun taking our time and really picking things out carefully and especially fun to see how it all came together.

It’s a charming nursery. I particularly love the jungle artwork. I’m just not fond of the curtains as they make the room look like a lot’s going on.
