Joa’s Sweet Nursery

Description

I typically have a hard time finding a rug I love to fit the space I need it for so I started Joa's nursery by choosing the rug first. I then added in anything and everything I loved that went with it. I loved how the colors weren't typical baby girl nursery colors but it was difficult finding a lot of navy for the space so I pulled more of the other colors out. She inherited this space from big brother (who got to move to a bigger room). I didn't want to take down his faux brick wall (I love the texture it adds) so we toned it down by painting it all white. I wanted to add color but didn't want it competing for the focal wall so we painted the ceiling instead (Behr's Mauve It). The best steals are the dresser (found on the neighbor's curb) and some other hand me down items (light fixture, morrocon pouf, baskets, etc.). The leather strap shelf and hello lovely sign are DIY attempts. The macrame mobile was found via a google image search. I found the maker on instagram and begged her to make one for baby Joa too.

Hi, Courtney! It's Elegant White by Dutch Boy but if you look at my profile you can see it in our other daughter's nursery and it looks a lot different based on the light! White is hard! Good luck!

What color white did you use on the walls? The space is beautiful!
