I wanted a calm baby room that wasn't too babyish or had too much of a theme. i had my nursery all planned if it was a girl so it threw me for a loop for a few weeks when we found out we were having a boy.

Design Inspiration

I know chevron has been done alot but I was drawn to the clean modern lines even after trying to move away from it. I sourced a crib skirt and changing pad cover and decided to go for it.

Decorating Style

My style varies depends on inspiration.

Project Details

The dresser, lack shelving, cube, spice racks,Crib sheets and side table are IKEA

The crib is from Walmart USA

The chaise, rug, flooring, lambskin, rocking horse and ceiling light are from Costco Canada

The box shelves were a discount find at Home Depot

The Blankets were made my my Mom to co-ordinate with the Chevron

The picture frames were from Dollarama and they contain book pages from Where The Wild Things Are

The Figurines of Where The Wild Things Are were found at a Toy Trades in Langley BC and on EBay

My Hubby went to Anaheim on a convention and bought the grayscale Disney Characters

The large metal J is from Antroplogie

I made the pompoms for $2.00 ( they were part of my shower decorations)

The Felt grey cubes for storage were an after Christmas discount at Superstore

I chalked, taped and painted the chevron wall myself and it took a day.

Favorite Items

I love the crocheted Mickey Mouse and the chaise was a great find for $200

My hubby doubted me many times but I just went for it..now he loves it.

I read your profile description and I say it’s very interesting! Your second baby after 19 years! It’s great that you are still very up-to-date with nursery trends! It’s a very stylish one you came up with.
