Jack-n-Jill Kids’ Bathroom

Description

We had this floral pink & green bathroom with our first daughter & were lucky enough to end up with a second daughter so we didn't have to scrap it.  This is a Jack-n-Jill bath (so each bedroom accesses the bathroom from opposite sides).

Design Inspiration

It started with the shower curtain & went from there...

Decorating Style

I usually gravitate to one item & shape a room around that item.

Project Details

The shower curtain & flower rugs are from Pottery Barn Kids.  There are matching towels, hand towels, & wash clothes that go with it.  I hand painted the canvases on the wall to match the flowers on the shower curtain, and found the old step stool purchased for $2 at a yard sale & refinished & painted it to match.

The letters on the wall are also from Pottery Barn, but were then finished on top of what PBK had done.  I used a map (that has the city one of the girl's was named after) on the "S" & the "M" was simply decorated using craft paper.

Favorite Items

The refinished step stool to match the bathroom.

Advice

I love making personal touches...hand painting the canvases & the step stool was easy & inexpensive!
