Ivy’s Nursery

Description

Ivy's nursery is so fun and girly. It has a touch of old fashion with a fun twist.

Design Inspiration

Once I found out I was having a girl I was soo excited to decorate a nursery. I love to decorate on a dime. I decided I wanted the nursery to be a touch of vintage style with some fun shabby chic elements.

Decorating Style

That is a hard question...my style is always changing. Right now I love vintage decore and lots of white with popps of color.

Project Details

I got the dresser at the DI (Dessert Industries) and re-finished it. I sanded, painted and stained it. I also replaced some hardware with cute pink knobs and put fabric behind the panels on the doors. The crib is used and I found it online on KSL. The glider is also used and I got it at a yard sale and re-finished it as well. My mom and aunt made the bedding, chair cover and the changing pad. I made the "Ivy" from blocks I found at Hobby Lobby and I covered it with cute paper.

Favorite Items

I love so many items in the room. But my favorite is the fur rug. It is from Wal-mart!

I had the mirror. It was a furniture set with a matching dresser. My mother in law passed it down to me. It is probably 15 years old.

Awww... those are really cute shoes! And I like that quote about girls and shoes, too. I so totally agree!
