Description
Our house is full of neutral colors (see our daughter's golden nursery on Project Nursery here), but I knew I wanted to throw a colorful confetti party to celebrate Isla's first birthday. We definitely achieved the goal of having lots of bright colors - the balloon arch and honeycomb ball backdrops were just that!
Design Inspiration
The inspiration for the entire party was this Stella McCartney Bell Party Dress. I changed the theme of the party based on the dress alone! I love it!
Decorating Style
Normally, I still with golds, yellows, tans, grays, etc. but for the confetti-filled party, I wanted to incorporate a lot of bright colors. I worked with Riley at Papellerie, and she created the gorgeous invitations - the colors she used for confetti dictated everything!
Project Details
You can find all of the sources for the party items on my blog - Snapshots & My Thoughts!
Favorite Items
My favorite items were the balloon arch (created in part by my talented event planner friend, Meredith of Cake & Confetti) and the honeycomb ball backdrop (which I spent ages making!).
