Hoity Toity Twins

Description

Nicole is the owner of online boutique Hoity Toity Baby, offering delightful hand-fashioned children’s clothing and accessories. So when it came time for Nicole to design a shared space for her “Hoity Toity” twins, she lovingly created a gender neutral room choosing green as her base along with accents of traditional girl pink and boy blue.

Design Inspiration

The inspiration came from the crib bedding I found from Target of all places! It worked perfectly with boy/girl twins and the colors really appealed to me!

Decorating Style

I like sweet, clean and colorful!

Project Details

The main wall color is Lettuce Alone from Olympic. Then each wall is complimented by bubblegum pink and soft blue polka dots. The cribs and the changing table were purchased at Baby Love (They were on sale due to a “possible” defect in the finish, which there were none). The shelving was purchased at Ikea. The monkey pictures are from Target, the drapery on the closets are from Bed Bath and Beyond and the corner unit is from PBK.

The small white child’s rocking chair is vintage. It actually belonged to my late mother-in-law when she was a toddler. The afgan hanging over it was also made by my late Grandmother.

Favorite Items

My favorite items are the cribs. They were a steal at $199.99 each!

Advice

Bringing together simple designs can really make the room pop! For example: The polka dots on the wall were done by purchasing a round styrofoam disc from Michael’s. I simply traced the different size circles on the wall alternating size, outlined them in the color I wanted and filled it in! Very simple! This nursery was a pleasure to design for my twins!
