Description
Harper's nursery is bright, modern and mostly gender neutral. Designed on a budget, most of the furniture is from IKEA and decor from Etsy or Target.
Design Inspiration
My inspiration for the nursery decor began from the color combination of FLOR carpet tiles in teal, yellow and orange. I chose modern white furniture and plenty of art prints from Etsy for colorful touches. The idea for the wall of books came from nurseries I saw on Pinterest.
Decorating Style
My decorating style is modern and colorful. I like simplicity, clean lines and interesting color combinations.
Project Details
Basically everything in the nursery is from IKEA, Etsy or Target. A few things are handmade by my creative family members, like the bunting, quilt and knitted blankie. And a few things, like the embroidery hoops, pink monster doll and the print on the bookshelf are from a local craft fair. The map lamp and play sign on the bookshelf are from Fab.com. And a few odds and ends are from Container Store and Anthropologie.

Advice
My advice for parents designing a nursery is to skip the matching theme decor from stores and instead find inspiration on Pinterest and Etsy for a more unique and personalized room.

Lovely modern and colorful nursery. That pinwheel mobile got me confused for a little while. I was trying to figure out what it really is before I realized there's a photo with a worm's eye view.

Love all the work you put into this! I've been sourcing etsy also and I know how overwhelming it can all be (but you can find such original and well made gear!!). You did a wonderful job! Thank you also for such detailed info on each nursery item..very helpful.
