Harleigh Brooke’s Bowtique

Description

As a mother of two boys, you can only imagine how excited I was to finally get to buy pink for someone other than myself. I have always dreamed of pageants, playing dress up, pigtails and hair bows.  So I knew her nursery was going to be my main focus while I was pregnant. I spent almost 6 months on her room, and I love every aspect of it. I like to think of myself as a DIYer and I think I am creative. I love putting my own spin on things, and I LOVE Pinterest. So there are many Pinterest inspired things in her room.

Design Inspiration

I didn’t really have much inspiration, I kind of inspired myself. It took me a long time to decide what I wanted to do in her room. I couldn’t make up my mind there were so many things I wanted, so I kind of just went with it. I started with a pink paint and let my imagination run wild!

Decorating Style

I’m not sure what my style is. DIY maybe? Funky Chic?

I bought her name letters, and most of the frames and stuff from hobby lobby during their 50% off sale.

I mod podged the shelves of the corner shelf, and the letters on the wall.

I hand painted everything, the bows, polka dots, stripes, and furniture.

Favorite Items

My favorite item, is probably her tutu table, I found the tutorial on Pinterest, and I love it. I painted an old end table my grandmother was throwing away black and mod podged a pretty damask pattern on top of it. and then made a tutu to wrap around the bottom of it.

Advice

Just have fun! Be creative, and take your time. Do things right, instead of easy. Love what you’re doing and you will end up with something you love!
